well we planned a trip upwards so that we could meet up with pete and brett,
as they have travelled down this way on many an occasion with various clubs,
so only fair to go up there way for a change,
i planned a route full of the lanes that i have previously done but picked out all the better ones and also changed the order ect ect,
just to mix it all up a bit,
rather than the same old route,
all the lanes were as good as the last time appart from one in particular which has now been down graded from a red to a green,
someone has been very busy filling in the rutts on that one big time,

here we have the line up for the day

here we have a transformer  Grin
what will it turn into next ?

its brucey
good game  good game

sam with his new shiney coat

bit tight there shaun   Shocked Shocked

its so comfy i didnt realise we were on the hedge

hmmm something doesnt seem right  Roll Eyes

well after this lane i found the steering hard to turn right  Shocked
didnt think much of it at the time,
but over the next few lanes i thought the car was a bit sloppy,
not driveing as easy as usual,
a few more lanes and all became clear,
the outer cv joint was completely mashed up,
with carefull driveing throughout the rest of the day,
i managed to finish the days lanes and drive it all the way back,
without any dramas,
my little dream machine is broke  Cry Cry
but i will be on the phone in the morning ordering some new parts,
long live the shogun,

the new hand held cb worked a treat when i had to walk down the lane,
to take some pictures of the others coming up the steep hill,
well impressed with it,
really clear sound,
a big thanks to all that came today,
another great day out,

Hi
Cheers Lee for the great days laning,
did a few local lanes to us up here.
sadly one of the greatest lanes we had has been flattened by the mid Devon council "
well at least I`ve made it up it,
a first for me without a tow".
Did loads of new lane just outside my map range,
which I`ll be doing again.
Sadly I think my steering box is broken after hitting a large rock hidden in a rut
Thank you all for a great time
Cheers
Pete

well i got the beast into the workshop this afternoon,
after hunting down some v6 parts  Grin
got a new shaft and hub,
as i wasnt sure how much damage was done,

the twisted cv boot
which did very well considering its sharp contents,
i was amazed that it didnt split open after doing 80 miles throughout the day after the shaft went,

you can see the boot is all twisted

proper tough these off road cv boots are
and i know a man that stocks them  Wink

the broken parts  Shocked

well mashed up  Shocked

even the end of the shaft has been munched  Shocked

nice new shaft ready to go back on with a super tough cv boot

all fixed ready for next time   Grin Grin
