well with all best plans made months ago for another weekend away
we had a few issues
1 broken truck
1 driver sick
1 no show

never the less myself and karmat did not want to waste our day
so we still had our breakfast at the pub which was awesome
we had more than usual whilst we waited for others
we were fit to pop when we left
we woddled back to the cars where we struggled to get in   laugh laugh

we were soon in the lanes
and what fine lanes we had today
the weather was all over the place
rain then winds then sunshine
we even took our jackets off as we were to hot  Shocked

even though we didnt have a navigator today
we took our time and went back to old school
as ive been spoilt with the navigators of late
but hey ho
i just picked out every red and orange lane i could find from plymouth up to somerset and beyond
taking in some random nice and easy lanes along the way
we didnt have any passengers either so we had to get out and open all the gates for ourselves   laugh laugh
which was a right laugh
as we still got rewarded just like the gate openers we take with us with sweets   laugh laugh

so all in all we have just been eating the whole day long
we did get within a stone throw of our planned fine diner which we booked months ago
but decided to give them a call and cancel the table that we had booked so that the table wasnt wasted
as we were full from all our sweets   laugh laugh
we headed for home

so all in all a great day out
2 cars
lots of lanes and laughter
many thanks to all that came   laugh laugh

i took plenty of extra treats for the gate opener   laugh laugh

that would be me then

oh no damage  Shocked Shocked

we had to implement a structural repair with some gaffa tape

to hold the arch in place   laugh laugh

not forgetting a photo for sean as he does like these things for some reason

ooops thats tight

that looks low   Shocked

to low for me i thinks

so we had to reverse out of this one
even though it was up hill and slippery

karmat had a go at being the lead car   laugh laugh

i open the gates
karmat closes the gates

simples

and we both get a sweet each   laugh laugh laugh

oh no ive broken the other drop link  Sad

but its ok i have more shiney ones at the garage   Grin Grin Grin

we had to do a quick repair on the track

bill and ben the builder men   Grin Grin

its good to go now for a few more years

our journey homeward bound

big thanks to all that came today
till the next adventure
 Grin Grin Grin Grin

the video of the day is now on youtube

a top tip for you when replacing these joints

Oh yes a great day out  Cool
Loads of lanes some were so good we went up and down them just to get the most out of them .
Took loads of photos but here is just a few of what a great day out you all missed  Tongue

All started with good food

soon in the first lane with a few adjustments needed

one messed up tree

Lee,s snacks for the day

some of the lanes nice and tight

the two beasts of the day

With slight adjustment it mat fit

We made a good job of cutting this one down

No go on this one

Winch required on this one

My new gate man

Reward for doing the gate

Out came the chainsaw

Just get through there

Look between the trees

Lane repaired and ready for next time

Many thanks to Lee ,great day out those red lanes were awesome .

yes karmat i have to agree they did miss out on some of my old favourites

some of these lanes havent been done by us in over 2 years   Shocked Shocked

well worth the re visit    Grin Grin Grin

the amount of lanes covered by only 2 cars was unreal and the vast distance we covered in a day

you know the saying you snooze you lose   laugh laugh

maybe do those lanes again later in the year   Wink

only with small cars though as anything bigger would just get smashed to pieces
