sunday 22nd april 2012 shogun day out

well what a great days fun today,
we started our traditional breakfast at mcdonalds  
then off we went at 0900,
we started the day with some nice easy stuff,
lane 1 with my new free wheeling hubs,
i forgot to engage them  
being sat so comforatably in the warmth of the shogun,
with the heater on gas mark 5,
toasty warm,
well as i was saying i forgot to engage the hubs,
only did i realise when in the tightest part of the soggy lane i began to slide,
ooops,
i had to try and get out,
which wasnt easy as i had just had mcdonalds  
well i got there in the end standing on the side on the fallen hedge row,
then i went to bend over to lock the hubs,
never  
i slipped and was jammed between the wheel and the hedge for a second or so,
had to get up quick before the others got there  
when i looked up i could just see the flash going off from someone behind me,
nearly got me  
well of we went once more with proper four wheel drive,
the beast purred along with ease,
we soon found our way up to the totnes area where we found some very flooded lanes,
it was ideal as it gave the kids something to play in  
soon we were on our way home after a very eventfull days fun,
it turned out well in our favour in the end to only have 3 shoguns,
as we blitzed through the lanes all day,

dave was wearing his big man trousers today with a belt  
usually dave wears elasticated trousers because he cant undo the buckle  
look lee i got me man trousers on  



well i was telling kenneth about daves elasticated trousers and felt like he should join in
ere dave i got man trousers to  



what can you say really  
as you would expect we were in fits of laughter

this is the top lane at shilston gate  
its all had drainage pipes put in  



all the ruts are now filled in  



totaly spoilt the lane is now  



on our way home we decided to go down rocky climb in the wet

 there does seem to be a distinct likeness of dave & kenneth together  

 nice pic at the end of the 3 trucks i noticed that all have the winch cable in same position spooky !!!

Another great day out, its amazing the progress you make with a smaller group.
