Yet another great day out in the lanes  Grin

we met at the pub for breakfast and if i may say so myself it was most delicious all 3 plates of it   Grin Grin

lots of people took an interest for todays lanes
so we had to adopt the car share yet again
we had 3 members in each car
to allow for new members to join us today   Grin Grin
rather than dragging a huge convoy along

we swiftly moved out onto the road which was still iced up in parts
proper cold this very morning in plymouth-shire
we headed out to do some old favourites

this did make me laugh grendles big clamp holding on the cb speaker   laugh laugh

i looked back only to see farmer sitting in comfort in the G wagen with his provisions for the day   laugh laugh

im not to sure if we have enough for the day

our driver for the day is grendle

is ok lads he cries    dont bother with the chainsaw i have my pocket knife on me

grendle whips this beauty out   Shocked Shocked

he must have real big pockets to fit that bad boy in   laugh laugh

grendle was having a moments piece just to eat a worthers original

we waited for what seemed like ages for the others to arive

in fact it was so long this guy emptied the whole contents of his boot bit by bit   laugh laugh

then we were off once again

chunkster was even on the same cb wave length as everyone else now

oh no the jimny has broken   Shocked Shocked

we stopped for a well earned tea break where farmer said grendles bought the sponge today

hmm i dont fancy eating that   Sad Sad

but these look great

matt has dented the car

we went on further to a deep part of another lane so deep in fact the G wagen started to take on water   Shocked Shocked

i was looking through the cd collection for the sound track to TITANIC

a most fitting theme as captain she is taking on water
i think she is sinking
farmer was looking for the sponge to tie to his chest as we seamed to have left the armbands at home

we managed to stay afloat and get back to the shore

then grendle got back out again

he is like robinson crusoe with his new pocket knife

first he chops down this

then this big tree fell over   Shocked Shocked

a little further up the track grendle wanted to stop and chop this one also   Shocked Shocked

wow mate i hope you got spare blades for that knife   laugh laugh

after grendle cut through the biggest part of this tree

we remembered we had the chainsaw in the boot

grendle didnt look so happy   laugh laugh

we all had a go dan farmer wadey and myself

we were also helped to tow the big chunk out of the way by a passing landrover defender whos name i didnt get

but many thanks to that man   Grin Grin

it took a bit to get through but we just love a challenge   Grin Grin

it was tight

we carried on till it was proper dark

then headed back to home for a well earned rest as myself and farmer needed it

i have never laughed so much on a day out ever before grendle kept us entertained all day

what a laugh

big thanks to all that came out today

till the next adventure

 Grin Grin

a very short video of the day is now on youtube

Was a good day out, some good lanes in devon and they are nice and close together. finally got a decent battle scar after my attempt of thowing it down panters bridge failed  laugh

think i need to get some plastic windows next, even though it was quiet amusing seeing daniel scrabbling across the back seat as the glass makes that ominous squeeking before its about to pop. how it didnt i dont know, just a scratch.

thanks too Lee leading with decent routes as usual.

look forward to the next one  Cheesy

what a great day out traveling in the back of Grendles G Wagon

the G Wagon made light work of this gnarley lane

the G Wagon started to take on water this was a little scarey

when we came across this fallen tree we had to deploy chainsaw man

lucky this land rover was on hand to pull the cut log out for us

many thanks to Grendle & you are welcome to jump if i have a spare seat any time also to Lee for the entertainment on the day

So I had a day out driving Lee and Farmer round. They had a great time, joke after joke all at my expense! On two occasions I thought I was going to have to stop to give Farmer CPR as he was laughing so hard he couldn't breathe! We had lulls while they troffted the toffees, but these were short lived  Cry

The tree has to go into folklore, don't ever tell Lee he can't do something! Huh? Huh? Huh?

Simon showed us how to do the Devils Steps with style! Cool Cool

Damage report, I ran into a Granite wall with a hell of a bang…..the boys got out to inspect the damage thinking mashed wing and bumper…but luckily I'd just cracked the plastic bumper end cap….happy days as Lee would say. Grin Grin

Thanks for an excellent day out Chaps nice to meet new folk too.

And Farmer you're on mate!

i forgot we hit the wall    laugh laugh

we did expect the worse from the impact   Sad

farmer even dropped some of his sweets   laugh laugh

but on inspection it literally was just a small split in the plastic end cap   Shocked

we could not believe it   Grin

as for the tree it was only a small one   laugh laugh
