and it all worked faultless

im gradually catching up with the rest of the world   laugh laugh

this lane was a lot deeper than it looked   Shocked Shocked

between myself and einstein we had enough chocolate to see us through till summer    laugh laugh

this road was well and truly under water   Shocked Shocked

who ever owns this house has stopped the building work on the house

but started building a boat just in case the water rises any more

these wet fields are ideal for growing ducks

its a tuff choice as i like that bit and also that bit which one shall i cut first   laugh laugh

grendle asked farmer if he would like a sandwich

farmer said ok then

next thing you know grendle had made this in the back of the diahatsu on top of the tool box   Shocked Shocked

wow a tower doorstep sandwich

kar.mats light fuse kept blowing    Shocked Shocked

farmer put on his shower cap as it started to rain

einstein hard at work

yes in 50 yards we shall be turning left   laugh laugh

we continued until dark

then went back to the hotel

as we never did find the fault with kar.mats lights   Sad Sad

we were soon at the pub for tea   Grin Grin

all 6 courses of it   Shocked Shocked

i simply had the mixed grill   Grin Grin

with a side order of onion rings and chips and garlic bread as i was starving   laugh laugh

farmer went for the steak and ale pie

What a cracking weekend. Lee & Einstein linked some fantastic lanes and we had good weather.
I jumped in with Farmer who it has to be said is pleasant company
Our fearless leader came prepared and ventured forth to check the water

And in we went

We had to keep moving as Sean was pushing some water Huh? Huh?

Once again our intrepid leader dons PPE to check the depth of the floods

No need to deploy a chainsaw for this fallen tree plenty of clearance Huh? Huh?

Thought I'd get a snap of the Disco before bits started falling off Tongue

Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Lips Sealed

Seans clearing the highway of junk...tisk tisk fly tipping in lanes

So our gallant leader (Left) sets us to clearing a fallen tree so we can follow the old county road. It's a 2 chainsaw job and we set to, moving the cut sections over to a lesser lane to our left.

Here we go Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

10 yards later and..............

So we move the tree bits and proceed up the lesser lane to the left

We decide to go to the seaside so SuperSurf can demonstrate how he got his name....I think I've got the wrong end of the stick Undecided. any way it was a tad rough so we moved on.

Not too sure about this house, is it a statement?

Sean hit the brakes unsure whether he should continue up this track

Please Sir anymore

Sean was led astray again refusing to take the councils well meaning advice

Our gallant leader takes a well earned break drawing on a leaf

Now we come to the lane that claimed 2 winches

And this is as far as farmer got. I'm not pointing the finger, BUT Einstein did have hold of both broken winches. i leave it to you to make up your own minds angel angel angel angel

We had the usual Jap issues  angel angel angel angel angel

Was I the only one who saw this nasty incident???

Disco receiving rust(ing) treatment

Yep that should do it! right up into all those nooks and crannies Huh? Huh?

Its is sad to relate that we have a sticky fingered thief among us. Please find exhibit one Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

I think this was a locals attempt at cutting traffic through this lane

Sean about to retreat the Disco just in case he'd missed a bit

Words fail me Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided

How kar.matt must have suffered!

Impressive standing wave

Thorough as ever Lee doesn't think  Sean has done sufficient rust(ing) treatment to the Disco and leads the way to to another treatment opportunity

This should do it

And again

Due to our sweets going walkabout earlier Farmer and I are reduced to meager fare Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

This was FUN

And finally our lead team basking in a job well done!

einstein had a good thing going

everytime he opened the gate as the cars went past they gave him a sweet

except one car that wanted to keep the sweets for themselves

so when the opportunity arose

when we were offered the sweets we took enough to share with everyone else    Grin Grin

its just no good keeping them all for yourself grendle as they would only have made you car sick   laugh laugh laugh

The best weekend away yet!!!  The weather made the lanes very interesting indeed.  Thanks to Einstein and Lee for leading the way.

Roadrunner was very excited to be in an actual Land Rover.  A real 4x4 at last!!!

And then into the lanes…..

Lee demonstrated the correct safety equipment for lanes in these conditions…

Einstein was the runner for the day….. Lee made sure of it ?

There was some debris in the lanes following the storms …

Out come the winches ….

This was Einstein breaking the second winch of the day !!!!

Stop swinging on the cars Einstein …..

It was time to assess the damage to Farmer’s winch …

As night fell we ventured into the spooky woodland lanes …

And Day 2 ….

Some spare parts for the Disco!!!!
