another cracking day out

the weather was awesome      Grin Grin Grin

now is this landrover broken down  ?

or holding the roof of the shed up  ?

as it clearly is not in there to stop the rain falling on it as everyone knows thats just a lost cause   laugh laugh

our new memory maps are bang up to date

so much so they actually show a new road in the process of being built   Grin Grin

mattt cb radio lighter end snapped on the solder

so no worries we had to make a pit stop for a quick fix

mattt wanted a tough lane so i sent him packing down here

he was soon on his way back after only 30 feet

a lane i know only to well as i broke both my windows on that lane some years ago

devon sure is a lovely place to live

today we were using the latest maps from memory map

on our brand new laptop which performed faultless

which is more than can be said for young einstein

who today made 2 mistakes   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

what is the world coming to   laugh laugh laugh

once again some cracking lanes to keep everyone happy

a big thanks to all that came today

till the next adventure

 Grin Grin Grin

the video of the day is now on youtube

called a day in the sun

that lane is sooooo tight you would be lucky to get through in a standard jimny

as there are 2 trees directly opposite each other

this was the result of that lane when i tried to push the shogun through back in 2011   Shocked Shocked

its got even more undergrowth there now

grendle unfortunately some lanes are just to tight for the lovely refurbished G wagen to fit down

so i have never taken you to lots of lanes

they are top secret   laugh

but we always shake up the lanes from start to finish and randomly jump from one area to another

we never repeat the same route twice

who ever rides as the navigator decides where and what order and what area we shall be in  ?

otherwise if we did the same old routes week after week it would be boring

but i will always make a judgement call if we have larger cars in the group

and make sure they know where to meet us if we proceed where they wont fit

but with the new memory map

i can print off parts of the map   Wink

so will print off some of the areas of lanes i know the bigger cars wont fit down

so they will have a small area of map to guide them to the other end of the lane  Wink

because we are nice like that

Was a really good day. Nice to do some rougher lanes.

that lane was really tight with no chainsaw i was just getting wedged and the trees were to thick to bend out the way, those who know me know i dont like to give up but that wasn't going to hapen.

That last clip in video didnt realise how much the front went in the air  laugh makes a good video though.

Thanks to einstein for navigating and lee leading. was a good day out.

Thanks for a good day out.
Here are a few of the pictures I took, not in the order they were taken!

This was the line up, and lee with his white powder!

This was the worst of my damage for the day.

This is just about when the reverse lights came on!

it was a shame you broke the window and lost the snorkel top in the last hour of the day mate

but at least you got to try your winch a few times

tested and approved   laugh laugh

a nice bit of damage there   Shocked  ....a bit of ally chequer and some seam sealant need to replace the window me thinks.Remember -if it gets ripped off it stays off and windows are only a lifetime of hoovering waiting to happen so glass has to go in the end  laugh

Typical Armchair Laners gag...lull you in to a false set of security, maybe a few easy days....then its time for some battle scars laugh top job initiation passed  laugh

Good pics.
