Thanks to all and sorry for the short delay  angel

Had a great day squeezing the Disco through some decent lanes.  Many of the lanes looked different with so much undergrowth, some probably not been travelled since the last time we were there  Shocked

No damage today apart from a tyre valve ripped on the rocks.  New starter motor also required  Cry. Still easy to fit so happy days.

It was really hot today, need to get the air con regassed for next time  Wink.  But the views were awesome!

For those who know you're Rover V8's you might notice the belt in the picture is fitted incorrectly  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I copied the one that was there, but have since looked it up and put it right   Grin Grin

Thanks to Lee for organising a bigger truck day.  Looking forward to the next event!

Excellent non damaging day out, big lanes for big trucks..

Was a litle hot....lol...

Cameras wernt so prevalant and that was nice as it was a day of doing what was needed, lanining!!!!

We had to keep moving to keep some air in the cab, 39 degc in the cab at lunch break......ouch.

Had a fantastic blast on the way home too, its nice to let the shogun use its power on the tarmac although the wallet did recoil into my pocket at the fuel gauge movement........,

Was nice to meet daniel too, nice all round bloke.....

Learnings from the day.....fix air con so i can coccoun myself in cold clean non pollen air.....hay fever is a nasty shotgun passenger.

taking pictures is a big part of the laning day out mate
as you can see from other days out reviews
the pictures are what make the story of the day

that is what people like to see
and probably what attracts most people to the club in the first place

there are only a few people in the club who dont post any pictures at all
so in future when we have more than 5 cars wanting to go on a day out
we shall simply take the people that do post pictures rather than the ones that dont

I think the photos make for a good record of the day.  I quite often look back over our exploits!  The more the better I say, and I speak as someone who quite often gets targeted for driving a LandRover!!!!

Mind I can understand not wanting to be photographed in a Shogun!!!

cant have a thread with no pictures  Cry, Its good to look back through the days as I like to show friends and family what I've been up too and its good to see mistakes and action shots. Like when someone catch's you at a silly angle or about to tip makes a good wallpaper on the computer.

like this, my first day out when i got it a bit wrong  laugh woulda been a waste of a dent and broken light unit if noone caught it on camera

Is that what it like going out with PALS then?, always stopping and taking pics of stationary cars? Every time I been out with this lot it was either cameras out the windows, or Lee would drive ahead and get everyone coming past. and then the obligatory ones when someone gets stuck or broke down.  laugh

Great great day and so much fun to be able to squeeze anywhere Cool angel

Nice to meet you too roadrottie, and sorry about that big rock I left in your way?  Tongue Huh?

Well done to BearV8 and Lee for those great lanes, and although they were planned for big cars (not that it matters to me anymore  Cheesy) it was actually tight in some places, see pictures here  Wink

Looking shiny here, but that will be it!
