Suzuki, life's to short to be fixing landrovers

« on: August 17, 2013, 04:37:42 PM »

Hello all, I just thought I would start a thread on my gv showing any modifications I've done,

First things first, fitting my cb, all mounted to original holes :-)

And I made a mount for the ariel out of an old spotlight bracket

Then i got some 235/70/16 insa turbo special tracks on a spare set of wheels

Then i thought I would start getting it ready for winter,
So I fitted some new slim fit wiperblades

Then some super bright led bulbs for inside, the front has twin 501's with 9 downward facing leds each and the middle is a festoon type with 12 downward facing leds

Then i fitted some led sidelight bulbs and hid headlights, awsome in the dark

I'm not scared of the dark, honest  Cool

Had a busy day on Sunday lifting my suspension, for free!
First I got some old shopping trolley wheels and drilled the centres out

Then placed them on top of the springs front and rear and fitted the extended shocks from the front of my old sj on the back (+3in)

They are a perfect fit!

Before

After

Not a bad outcome for just a bit of work, and no £££ anywhere :-) very happy

Done a little suspension test last night and I am very happy with the results! Loads more travel on the rear and a little more on the front

Hello everybody, I know I've been away for a while but having a baby can take up a little time, but any time I have had I have been working on the grand vitara. The latest modification is my new winch :-)

I know the bumper could be trimmed a little closer to the winch but that will change with my next mod I'm working on ;-)

I do need to get out again soon, I know it's been too long because mud has stopped dropping out the bottom when I hit a bump Hahaha and it could do with some more battle scars
