firstly could i just say a huge thank you to andy hewett and his son tom

for organising and setting out a great days fun

because the site today was very dry and the fact it was a treasure hunt   Grin Grin

not a full on smash your car up punch hunt

the sun was shining what more could you have wanted

we all met up at the carkeel roundabout for 0900 and a swift 0930 departure down to the woods

andy had a brief chat with everyone regarding the site and gates

then everyone moved off in a relaxed manner to find the treasure    Wink Wink

the day went very well

with some winching sections boggy sections and wet sections

a great site all in all

this landy was travelling in style

oh come on lads there is a winch blanket there please use it   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

a race to the top man verses landrover   laugh laugh

who would win  ?













a rare site these days a fiat panda 4x4   Shocked Shocked

these guys defo had a lot of fun in this little beauty today  





a heard a smash at one point yep the headlight has exploded followed by the door mirror fell off   Shocked Shocked



B is for bold   laugh laugh

thats what his t shirt said

my alternator light has come on

i think i can fix it   Shocked Shocked

fix it more like smash it off with a hammer that big mate



he be alright ill just give it a little tap   Grin Grin



we could see smoke

rushed down to the trucks only to find andy and tom

having a full on english breakfast with toast and everything   Shocked Shocked



here we have tom with his shortened kebab slicing knife to cut a bread roll   Shocked Shocked

a bit of over kill if you ask me  laugh laugh

one slip with this knife and he wont be cutting his hand hell be chopping his fingers off  



i must say the traybacks are very handy for being able to make ones tea





a nice controlled climb









here we have suzuki phil

king of the mountains in this sj its truly a very special truck as there really arent many places he cant get it

no mate you need to take the short cut down there to the next bit of hidden treasure   Grin Grin

wow what a great size trophy



andy was sitting up there on the throne again

with his speech in hand he called out to us all  

im sure he thinks he is a gladiator or something    laugh laugh

sitting on the back of his chariot



a trophy for the standard class



and another for the non standards trucks





once again a big thanks to andy hewett and his son tom

for setting out all of the punches and organising the days fun

we had a lovely day out didn't take part today but came along to give Andy our support and took some photos. great day had by all. great success on Andy's first treasure hunt. hopefully there will be many more in the future. here is our photos.

Good day had by all involved I hope.

Tom and me have some pictures and will up load them soon, just a but manic at the moment.

Will look at running another one in around 5 to 6 week if we get enough interest.  Wink

great day out,once again thanks to andy and tom,great work out for me rear winch which didn't only winch the car out but half of the bog I was stuck in  Grin Grin Grin
