cornwall february 2015 weekend away

Yet another great weekend away

Plenty of lanes some new ones

Some old ones

Some which are no longer even on the maps.  

But all in all a lot of fun along the way

we started at the lord louis pub for a hearty breakfast  

then was swiftly on our way



the weather isnt the best







someone has been out trimming

















well you just dont see this to often an abandoned landrover    

even the farmer had enough and left it in the middle of the road  





yet another common sight in these parts

the instant repairs to the landrover with some gaffa tape

hes still fixing the landrover



we even seen a couple of ewoks from the star wars films hiding in this van



this field was super wet so we proceeded with caution as not to damage it  













oh i say  

turned out nice again  





we stopped for a tea break and found a letterbox container

so we added some sweets for the kids  

a superwinch pen

also a armchairlaners card and put it back





we even had some light reading just in case someone broke down

now this is torture for anyone who hasnt got a landrover

at this point kar.mat was kicking and screaming for an ice cream  

but unfortunately there was no van in sight

i remembered this lane from a few years ago and let the others go in front

to wash out a bit of the water as im the only one with a petrol    



grendle just loves the water        

coming in the g wagen    













dont you get your boots muddy mate  















we kept on going until we lost the light



hen headed back to the travelodge for some food

mattt had the tower burger

charlie had a curry



i had the fish and chips which was great  

see i dont just live off fry ups    

i even had extra salad  



we blended in the car park  



i was waiting for the breakfast  room to open

so thought i would browse the cornish tourism stand to see whats on offer



 



when i said i dont just live off fry ups i meant not after 7pm  



here we have grendle with his new friend from japan



day 2 and we were met by steve with his jeep



he must be running low on gaffa tape now



kar.mat was sat watching his morning kids channel















another new road being made  

























mrs chunks had her birthday yesterday and even brought a cake for us

how nice  

she could have defrosted it    



i was trying to cut it without the plastic knife snapping

here we have a rare sighting of an ellusive cornish man fixing his snorkel















the captains ship  







someone had a lucky escape as the roof of there house had been on fire





we wanted to go the scenic way home



to give the captain chance to catch up with his mate













the captain asked to stop at the garage for some essentials

so we did thinking he wanted a drink or something

but no he wanted screenwash  



last but not least the washing of the cars at the end of the day



he doesnt look happy to have to pay a few pounds for the wash  



what does this do



a well earned cup of tea









that concludes our weekend away in sunny cornwall

Well another great trip for Armchair laners .

Loved the fact we had 5 very different Trucks on this trip....it meant the damage reports varied at least

had a cracking weekend away. weekend with out the kids is always good. what more you want to do for valetines day then go laning well mrs chunks was happy with that and her box of chocolates. like a mini adventure for us we dont get out much.  

i think the disco was the only vehicle which suffered with damage. the alpine window decided to exit the vehicle. 1 going down the lane and the other going up. it was a awesome lane though.
