what a dramatic day out in those lanes today

we met at the pub for a fry up

it was spot on today  









i went up first and the back slid into the gulley

the back of the car was at a right old angle

so out with the winch to hold her steady

heath and safety  



simon said you made it look so simple





its ok if you do have a winch fitted but the next contestant didnt  

so tom got out with his pick and dug a nice channel for simon to drive up

that tom should have a job with the highways division

as he made a lovely ledge

we were breaking into a sweat just watching  





another lane now lost  

been re graded













now we have got the whacky racers both trying to get through the same gap at the same time  











oh no it just had to happen yep we stopped for the landrover to fix itself after the hedge jumped out at it





ooops looks like someone has knocked the fence down  ?

but to be fair the fence posts are completely rotten

we only took this photo to show the fence was already like it before we went past



here we have young finley getting a lang branch out from under trampers car







he did a great job but one piece was jammed between the anti roll bar and the drive shaft

so tom to the rescue with his hammer and chisel















after we had washed and polished the trucks

i inspected the tyres for any damage ?

i noticed something jammed in the rim

so i took the tyre off the bead to get it out

a big lump of tree  

good job i noticed it otherwise the tyre could have gone down  





it was only a short day out today

but we did have some serious fun out in those slippery lanes

Great pictures there Lee, brilliant morning out. As usual it started with Lee being his normal self....



There was a little water around today...







The lanes were a challenge today...














One lane particularly gave me an issue as Lee had to winch himself up ahead of me, with no winch. Don't worry he said, I'll give a tow he said, then he did this...

 

So from my window with my wheel in the air, I saw this....



Hmm, this could be interesting! I backed up and then we helped Lee,








The final lanes were great fun too.










Lee thought he would try this reading thing he had heard about....




He then went for a climb


Despite the challenge today only Tom had modifications to make to the mighty Land Rover!




If you can't fix it with a hammer it's not a Land Rover!

Great morning out and huge thanks to Lee as always for sorting and Tom for the pick work to get me up the tricky lane.
